Term 1 Week 4

Central Idea : We all mature throughout life and need to take care of ourselves as we change.

Line of Inquiry : The physical, social & emotional changes that occur throughout life

This week we have been learning about how to write an information report. The focus was the
circulatory system. We started by reading and doing some research. It was quite challenging at
first to read, but as we read more and more we started to find more information and absorb it into
our brains. After around two or three days we started to work on writing down our information
and things we remembered. We went back to check at least three to four times and once we are
sure about it, we let our homeroom teacher, Ms.Cynthia check it again for the final edit.  At the end
of the week we began to make clay model of the heart. We will continue this next week. The aim
is to be able to talk about how it works.

Puberty

We were able to learn more about our bodies and how they will change as they grow older.
This week was especially good because a doctor  was able to make it to class. His name is
Doctor Gong and he studies the cells of babies before they are born. He taught the class about
the transformation of our bodies and how we can cope with ourselves during this time. He showed
us short videos of cartoons so we could relate to the characters and have a little laugh in the making.

Maths
This week were learning about rounding numbers and we working on rounding number in a
worksheet. Miss Charlie helped us with our estimation questions.miss charlie bring a A3 paper
with a question about rounding number in it.we separate in a group with 5 people and working in
a worksheet.and let other group check our work.

Drama
In drama we made notes about music and history. We played on a show
which we wrote about our characters. We were able to pretend to be that character in our real life.
We were put into situations that would put us in confusion. We had to try and keep the scene alive
and interesting.
